Well done to Elliott for being star of the week! He has had an amazing week! Particularly in literacy where he independently wrote a sentence including finger spaces and a full stop!!! He is a superstar! Keep it up!
We have had a great week this week; we have been doing lots of tricky work. In maths we have been using our reasoning skills to make and visualise 5 using a five frame and cubes. It was lots of fun! In literacy we are still working so hard on our sounds; learning a new one each day then consolidating after every four. We have also started using our ‘Fred fingers’ to sound and blend vc and cvc words, then writing them. We are amazing!!!
In RE we have started a new topic of ‘Welcome’, during this introduction we talked about and acted out how we can welcome people into school. We loved the acting; we then created hand prints in green paint using our own hands. It was so fun! In topic we talked about what we would like to be when we grow up, we had many different ideas but we all were able to explain why we chose that particular career. In Art we finished our world food day project; this will be brought up to the front during our harvest mass on Wednesday morning so you will be able to see our amazing creation first hand!
