Our star of the week is Harrison for excellent effort in Maths.
In Literacy, we have been theatre directors. We have taken the story of the gruffalo and changed it into a playscript that can be performed on stage.
In Maths, we have been focusing on metric measures and solving problems with fractions.
We have had a fabulous science week.
On Wednesday, we focused on engineering and building structures that could support weight. We used cardboard tubes and straws to build the tallest towers we could. However, there was a catch! The tower had to be able to hold weight. We tested each tower under varying weights. Excellent teamwork was shown throughout- well done everyone!
On Thursday, we had three visitors who worked in the field of science. They brought along a range of objects linked to their job and we had to guess from them what they did! It was very interesting. We also skyped two scientists – one in New Zealand and one in Philadelphia. A huge thank you to all of our guests- you really inspired us!
On Friday, Class 4 led a beautiful Lenten mass.
