It's been another busy week in Class 1 full of fun and lots of hard work.

In Literacy we have started our "Ditty Books" for the first time. We can now read our own book. It's great to finally be able to put all those sounds together and make words.

In Numeracy we have been describing the properties of 2 D and 3D shapes and then sorting the shapes into those that have points, curves, square faces and those that can roll.

In RE we have been talking about "Special People" and of course the most important people in our lives are our parents.

In Art we have been making models using household shapes. Johnny got very upset  when he chose a Toblerone tube for his model. He thought it had sweets inside but it was empty. He could not understand that Mrs. Hebron's husband had eaten the sweets and that she had just brought the empty tube in to make a model. So sorry Johnny.

Thank you for sending in differnet shapes and for helping the children with their homework.
