Our star this week is Tom who always put one hundred percent effort into all of his work and is a caring and helpful member of our school family. However this week, Tom has worked particularly hard with his handwriting and is proud of the improvement. Well done, Tom.
We know it’s very early yet there is already talk of Christmas in Class 3. Blame Mr Waite. Carla’s report will explain more:
This week in guitar we have been learning some songs for the Christmas concert such as Jingle Bells and Rocking Around The Christmas Tree. We did lots of different cords such as F cord, D cord, G cord and C cord. By Carla
This week like every week we went to swimming. We have two groups: the big group and the little group. The big group does multiple lengths in the public pool and the little does technique to improve in the tank. This week the big pool group has been doing breaststroke. By Clara
In Maths, Class 3 are doing column addition. Ollie will explain with a little more detail in his report.
On Wednesday, Year 4 had to add two 4 digit numbers with 1 exchange. We also had a visitor watching us. It was quite hard but most people got to question 4 or higher where we solved problems. The maths lesson before that we also had to use the column method. On Thursday, we added two 4 digit numbers with two exchanges. I think that’s hard. By Ollie
We have had some magnificent sarcophagi brought in to school. What a lot of research and designing had been going on at home. Thank you to everyone for your hard work. Each child has presented their work and here are some photographs taken by their talk partners.
