Children’s Work

The Green Man

We took learning outdoors yesterday and used our school grounds to create some Living Artwork, using the basis of the Green Man poem by Charles Causley.   The children have produced some very impressive artwork. We hope you enjoy it.

June Work

Joel who has just turned seven, loves Terry Deary books. Hear him reading an extract from ‘Terry Deary’s Roman Tales’.

May Work

Some super writing from Nelle and Imogen about their adventures in Space. We’re loving their punctuation and emerging spelling. Not to mention their fabulous word processing skills….  We also have some extremely well written letters from Gabrielle, Age 7 and Harriet, Age 9.

April’s Work

Oh gosh, look at this.   Early Years have got themselves all excited over the lunar eclipse.  Here are two rather special bits of work from Evan and Imogen.

March Work

Congratulations to Ben and Tess for some beautiful writing this month.  They’ve brought in some fabulous descriptions of feelings and some wonderful imagery.

Diary of an Orang-Utan in Space – by Tess, Age 8

Dear Diary

My memories are flooding around in my head I think it might explode. I am getting more upset. Every time I wake up a bit of my heart is breaking. I am losing the will to live. I can’t explain how hard it is living here.I just want to tell everyone how I feel but that is so hard because I speak a different language that’s why I am keeping a record. I can’t even remember what the word light means any more it is like I am on a world of my own. I am starting to think that it was my fault I was sent into space. If I ever go back to Earth, I will be amazed – seeing everything that humans do and able to do what I think is right. If I see my trainer, I will never let him go.

Witch – by Ben Aged 9

A witch on a broom
With a doomsday cannon
Zow! Zap!
A cat on her head.
One…. two…
Moon’s reflection shining in my eyes,
The neon lights bouncing off my face
Lightning striking above my head.
It’s a beautiful sight…
Like a wordless kite….
